Christmas 2009

What a wonderful Christmas! Whit quickly got the hang of opening up presents and we had a very relaxed Christmas week, with celebrations spread out over several days.

Here are some pictures to recap what we've been up to over the holiday...

We spent "Christmas Eve Eve" at G and Papa's house where Whit is already in his Christmas pj's and reading the new book Aunt Nancy gave him in the new red personalized PBK chair from G and Papa!

The next day we had Christmas Eve brunch at Nanny & Granddaddy's house. Here is Whit with Uncle Blake.
Nanny & Granddaddy got Whit a train table and set!

Here is the annual family picture and grandchildren picture with Nanny and Granddaddy!

Christmas Eve dinner was at G and Papa's house with the Halls. Besides playing the music (CD player) at G and Papa's house, Whit's other favorite thing to do is to get their dust buster and clean up any crumbs he can find in their house! Here he is getting ready for Christmas Eve dinner!

Whit and Uncle Robert are sitting under the bar apparently discussing Whit's new footed pj's!

Christmas morning at our house!

Whit loves his new horse sleeping bag!

And he's really going to be able to fix a lot of things around the house with his new work/tool bench!

Horses, Elmo, and Thomas the Tank Engine are just about Whit's favorite things right now. Here he is with his new Hokey Pokey Elmo.

Next, it's time for Christmas Day breakfast of traditional "Eggs-A-La-Goldenrod" at Grandmother and Papa Bill's house (Whit's great-grandparents which he calls Ma-Gr and Papa). Here he is with Ma-Gr, G, and Papa Bill.

Here he is helping Ma-Gr open her presents!

We stopped by Whit's other great-grandmother, Nana Vogler's, house for a quick Christmas Day visit after Whit's afternoon nap! Here is Whit with his first-cousin-once-removed, Walter.

Next we're on to Aunt Anna and Uncle Todd's for Christmas Day dinner with the Robertsons.

Clowning around with Cousin Morgan!

Eating some YUMMY coconut cake!

The last Christmas celebration was the day after Christmas with Great Aunt Sheila and Great Uncle Aaron. Whit loved helping pass out the gifts!

Thank you to all of our family and extended family for helping make this Christmas so special! Whit had a wonderful time celebrating and we feel so incredibly blessed! Although we all were fortunate enough to get so many generous gifts, we definitely remembered the greatest gift of all and the reason for the season, the gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Thank you, Lord, for all you have provided us materially, spiritually, and eternally. Thank you for the family we love so very much, and the loved ones we lost this year and last who were so greatly missed this Christmas. Father, we thank you for loving us so much that you sent your Son to be born in a stable in Bethlehem to save us and to change the world forever. Thank you for reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas and for the many gifts you give us each day. Amen.
